Shift Car Dealers

The new way to sell a car!

This was a new experience for me. I usually sell my cars private party or trade them in to a dealership for a new car. I had read about Shift and gave it a try. They offered me far more for the car than the automatic eval Carmax provided. The only bumps in the road with the process was the initial evaluation and the pick up of the car. Everything was happening around the holidays. the inital evaluation was supposed to be at 9pm. The person did not come until 10:30. The next day, Dec 24, they were supposed to pick up the car. I finally called to find out when, as there had been no contact about an appt. They set it for 2:30. I got a call at 2:30 that they would be delayed until 3:30, which would have worked. Then they called and said 4, which we could not do. I was told I could reschedule for any time on Saturday. We agreed on 11am. At 11:05am on Saturday I get a call that they are delayed, ARRG. Tired of setting up my whole day for it to change, we opted to drop off at Shift in Sac. They were busy, of course, but the wait was not too long an the paperwork was simple. I feel that if Shift does not really have drivers available that they should not make appointments they cannot keep. It is better to under promise and over deliver. Overall, the people were very nice and professional, the transaction, once done, was smooth, and the price I got for my car exceeded my expectations.
