Laithwaites Wine & Spirits

Delivery - done

I have not tried any of the wines I recently ordered, choosing to give them time to settle down after their long journey. Laithwaites' delivery via usual reliable courier was excellent as usual, with the delivery being within the two-hour estimated slot on the tracking notification. I had one concern, however—Laithwaites appears to reserve payment and charge card on their system as far as two weeks before the delivery takes place, which will make me think twice about ordering wine regularly.

Late delivery

The delivery scheduled for the week commencing 25th April was not received until Monday 2nd. It should have been left in the greenhouse ( if no one is home ) but was left on the patio. Our neighbor found it on Tuesday and used a tarp to keep it dry until we returned from holiday. The bottles had to be retrieved individually and stored in our cellar until we return.

I really like Platejoy

I really like Platejoy. It saves me a lot of money and the meals are easy to make. I like that I can dump my grocery list into Instacart. I think Platejoy is reasonably priced. I do the six- month subscription and it pays for itself after about two weeks.

Ordered a bottle of Blanton

I ordered a bottle of Blanton. It arrived in four days. The bottle seems authentic, and the shipping was quick. However, the bottle has a 2-by-4 inch white label with what appears to be Mandarin letters and words. Where does this label come from?

The food is good

By a few simple modifications, I have successfully reduced the number of dishes I must clean. First, I fry my Medifast fettuccine in the pan, adding freshly chopped broccoli for both color and texture. Second, I use a soup ladle in place of a small spoon to properly portion soups that provide an ample serving of vegetables—this ensures that I eat only one bowl instead of two. Third, when my partner and I cook together, we each bring our own ingredients to the counter; this way, we can add salsa to the chili or chives to the mashed potatoes instead of eating separately. Fourth, by blending Splenda with pancake batter, cinnamon with applesauce, or berries with yogurt or pudding, I trick myself into believing that an otherwise bland dish is more flavorful than it really is. Finally, if I become tired of drinking shakes at home or on-the-go and want something resembling food instead (which has prevented me from going hungry in the past), I prepare chocolate cake batter in advance so that it may be frozen for several minutes and subsequently enjoyed as a shake.

Good to me!

I originally chose this service because the meals were delicious, but in the past few months they haven't been so great. If I'm going to keep paying $75+ a week for food, it has to be worth it to me!

Doordash Food Delivery

Horrible

I ordered from DoorDash several times, and each time I was disappointed. Drivers don't really look to see if they've taken everything, so schedule an extra 30 minutes to call customer service. DoorDash is a waste of time, money and hopes.

I love it

I save a decent amount of money when compared to eating at a fast food establishment and I also feel much better afterwards. They have a wide variety of options on the weekly menus for all kinds of diets. Their recipes are uniquely delicious and always fresh. Great food

The quality and quantity of dishes are beyond praise. Absolutely delicious and so easy to warm up. And the desserts are phenomenal too. I highly recommend Factor. They even have meals with carbs and calories in mind. I have tried every meal plan, just for fun to compare, and factor is the only one I’ve found to meet my needs.

Doordash Food Delivery

Awful drivers and services

Lately, Doordash has been disappointing in every way. Each order is delivered cold. Delivery of almost every order takes at least an hour. Most orders are either an incorrect order, or something is missing, or all together. And costs... In many cases, you pay twice as much for food. Do not use this service. Their business is garbage, and drivers have no idea how to handle food and deliver it.
